To protect creators and its business model, YouTube has moved to ban mobile third-party computer applications that allow users to avoid ads. This achievement directly follows previous efforts to curb internet ad blockers on the platform.

Since these people are likely to be the majority of non-paying users who will now wait for ads to appear, this may motivate them to consider alternatives. They may get a notice on their phone like “The following videos are not playable on this app” or they may play videos and find themselves struggling while streaming them.

By referencing that their terms of use exclude any party from interfering with ads, YouTube makes it known that this is an important element of their app. They advise that advertisements are a necessary and life-giving source of revenue that allows creators to be rewarded for their content. Thus, this revenue contributes to free software, which remains the company’s greatest asset – an easy-to-use platform enjoyed by billions of viewers globally.

If you want, YouTube Commander comes with a completely ad-free premium service i.e. YouTube Premium. This option offers uninterrupted natural views without ads.

Earlier, Vanced YouTube was banned for similar violations in 2022. Now, they are sending a clear message: Any other unauthorized customers who pressure their ad-supported ecosystem will not face consequences. Their strategy is to take comprehensive and decisive action to protect their platform, the creators who rely on it, and the users who consume its content.
