Practicing your math or replying to messages while safely in the driver’s seat? Of course, one advantage is Android Auto. After this WhatsApp’s advertising appeal greatly diminished and for many people, it lost its advantage.
Imagine: On one occasion, you are going down the road at your normal speed and a notice appears on the screen. No problem! However Android Auto and Google Assistant mostly allow you to respond via voice commands. WhatsApp has been a great app for chatting and exchanging messages, but nowadays, for an increasing number of users, it is not the app in question.
Visually the topic seems something new. The good news is that Google Assistant can still read incoming messages, but it is impossible to reply or send a new message. Some forums and social media chats indicate that the situation is not an isolated case, but widespread.
Here’s the good news: programming is probably not acting but a different version. It may have been sent from DPS to G Suite [an assumption in the 30-second promo block] or it may have been a server-side tweak screwed up as witnessed. Bad News? Even according to Google, there is no official information about the repair yet.
Now let’s talk about what you should do. However, for the time being, texting cannot be done through Android Auto, only through your phone, where you remain available in case of any WhatsApp messages that require your attention. Just remember, safety first! Whenever you are using your phone while driving, you should also make sure that you move off the road to a safe place.
