WhatsApp cracks down on profile picture sharing

A dinner service specifically designed to enhance the privacy of WhatsApp users will be launched soon. This feature prohibits any type of image capturing of user profile pictures. So, this means that you will not be able to save a high-resolution copy of any profile photo you see on your device without that person’s specific permission.

On the other hand, it appears as if this change took the world by storm overnight, when in fact it was identified long before it was implemented. But at the moment, you don’t get any warning if you try to capture a screenshot. Instead of seeing the abandonment of the blinking shutdown procedures, you will see a blank screen. Again, this could be a bullet point, accompanied by a bold notice about the data limit issue in the following update.

Care for nature gives a person wings and freedom, and, besides, it also has a small drawback. Additionally, you are also able to take a screenshot or snapshot of the particular profile screen displayed for your chat room. It’s a nice idea, but it’s not as obvious as the photographer wants. Therefore, it is not recommended to save a high-quality image.

This release can be scheduled to be distributed by turning on the software switch on the server. Therefore, the change may not come with a phone update. This universal extension of the amendment indicates that WhatsApp is determined to remain privacy-oriented.

The main purpose of this option may be to achieve a barrier that prevents misrepresentation and unauthorized dissemination of profile images. By making it more difficult to download large-pixel photos, WhatsApp anticipates that people will not want to use them in any abusive manner.

Apart from Telegram and Signal, no scenario has come with this limit yet. Conversely, if this change is very attractive to you, there are follow-up options to try.

Additionally, if you want to exercise more power yourself, you can also choose who sees your profile picture. It’s a simple matter of following the steps: WhatsApp > Profile Settings > Privacy -> Your profile photo > Select yours.
