Are your fingers bouncing restlessly around confusing phone browser tabs? Google Chrome for Android has excellent chances to help you when this happens shortly. In the latest development, the company unveiled a new feature it calls “Tab Declutter”, which attempts to solve what is known as the tab overload problem.

Imagine this: So, you search “the best way to lose weight” and open so many sites that your phone’s tab number indicator turns into a smile! See you, Tab Thugs, Tab Declutter is going to save your life forever. The next thing to expect is that, if this feature is initially hidden in the Settings panel of Chrome, it will automatically archive tabs that you do not use for a long time.

This doesn’t seem to be Google’s first attempt at tab serialization. A year ago, Chrome for Android started experimenting with closing tabs you haven’t used in a long time but it has since been discontinued. While tab detox is a simple strategy, tab declutter is a more aggressive approach. By keeping unused tabs aside, there is a good chance that the primary browsing view becomes clutter-free which in turn makes Chrome faster.

Even if the archived tabs are pink or blue, it won’t be the end of the road. This is going to be a distinctive feature that will enable you to deal with this information: you will get the chance to put back the important things and get rid of the things that you don’t need in any way. With this approach, the user not only gets help in organizing tabs but also has control over his widgets to avoid accidental deletion of any essential tabs.

Although promising, Tab Declutter is currently in development. It all depends on the art of finding the right balance between automation and the demands and desires of the user such as type of music and speed. Let’s just say I’m a little curious and not quite sure yet what the turn of events will be. Its presence as Chrome version 125, scheduled for May 2024, also offers the option of eventual removal.

So, if you are one of those who don’t mind struggling to get a handle on the multiple tabs present on the phone, then don’t forget to download Tab Declutter for Chrome for Android. It can be as simple as a door that swings on both sides, connecting the two locations and making browsing pleasant and less hassle.
