Thanks to Samsung’s Tizen upgrade for 2023 TVs, the result is bittersweet. The new design is also modern and offers a sleek transparent look on the user interface (UI) of the sound bar but the sound experience of using the sound bar seems poor for some users.
Good news: The new update being introduced in the TV (version 1402.5) brings simplicity to its display and touch. The layout of the menus has been redesigned so that they look cleaner and respond more efficiently. They also offer a wide choice of menu controls as well as innovative icons. This upgrade is one of the best features of smart TV. The ease of use is impressive.
But, on a second look, I noticed some strange new banners on the “Media” screen. It can’t be ignored that this is one of the least attractive design aspects that irritates some people. Additionally, Samsung soundbar players started reporting similar errors regarding random sound cuts, crashes and freezes after the update. Surprisingly, the Samsung soundbar seems to be the only one that experiences these problems with sound as the sound from the internal TV speaker works and soundbars from other brands are working without any interruption.
If you have a Samsung Neo QLED, OLED, or QLED TV coming with a Samsung Soundbar from 2023, it may be a good option to skip this latest update today. The UI graphics enhancements are attractive but the sound issues are still questionable which may bring down your overall viewing experience. Overall, there are high expectations from the Samsung Galaxy S9, only if it resolves the above issues in the upcoming update.
