We all know that Samsung keeps presenting its innovations and new technologies among us and today Samsung showed its new Galaxy Ring at MWC in Barcelona. This ring is an item to be worn on the finger which is related to health. The Verge says Samsung hasn’t yet revealed what sensors this ring has, but it could potentially detect sleep based on heart rate, movement, and breathing indicators.
Talking about its size, the Samsung Galaxy Ring will be available in different sizes and the future will determine a vitality score which will be displayed in Samsung’s Health app. It’s based on a model from the University of Georgia that takes into account four factors: sleep, activity, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability. This Vitality Score will also be a feature of Samsung’s Galaxy Watch and will be made available for the first time on the Watch 6 later this year.
However, Ring users can also set specific health goals and receive related updates and tips in the form of so-called booster cards, which will also be available in the Galaxy Health app later this year. Talking about its availability, Samsung says that the Galaxy Ring will be released this year. However, Samsung has not yet revealed the details regarding the launch date, price and installed technology.
