This nifty feature enables you to check old notifications within the past twenty-four hours; thus it becomes very easy to go back and get that missed message or delivery update. Pixel phones have one of the best implementations of notification history in Android.
Unfortunately, all these changes had been followed by a bitter period of about three months for Pixel users. If you clicked on any notification in your notification history, it did not take you directly to that app as it should have done. Instead, this turned into a cumbersome process: first, you had to have the app open in the background then secondly click on the notification after going through the recent apps tab, and finally jump through some more hoops before getting where you wanted to be.

Thankfully, those days are gone now. The March update makes things much simpler. Therefore, when tapping a particular notification within your history then directly starting up such an application will solve everything immediately.
This fix appears to be widespread, working for users on Pixel 8 Pros and reportedly working on “a number” of Pixel models according to Android Police. So, Pixel users, it’s time to celebrate!
