Hey, Pixel user! Google has just released the second beta update for Android 14. This comes shortly after finalizing QPR2 and with the next major Android version, Android 15, already in the works.

What’s New (and what’s not):

Unlike monthly updates that focus on squashing bugs, Quarterly Platform Releases (QPRs) introduce more substantial changes. Think of them as mini upgrades with UI tweaks and potentially even new features – all without waiting for the next big Android release. Thankfully, QPRs are generally stable and launched as betas which means they can be used for daily by most people.

There have been reports of issues with sideloading QPR3 Beta 2 on some devices including the Pixel 8 Pro and Fold. If you encounter any challenges while installing this new Beta on your phone then don’t hesitate to report it via the Android Beta Feedback app found in your Pixel device before or after installation of a new version of an Operating System. The application lets you straight away link yourself to Google Issue Tracker so that you can help make things smooth for everybody.
