Pixel Launcher search acting up after latest update?

Please, Pixel web owners, hands up! There seems to be something sinister in the new QPR2 update of Android 14 Pixel Launcher as we facing an error in the search settings. As always, you can determine whether facts will appear when you open the information window and search. This will include downloading individual contacts from the Play Store and app tips from here.

Problem? Not surprisingly, even if you hid these options in Settings, it was on your search results! Sometimes the need to filter content can come across as something that is disliked by those who want some kind of spontaneity in their search process.

For example, perhaps we do things like search for “John” on our phone. Ideally, only those emails, documents, or apps that we need should be visible. However, this is how John’s communication information appears, even if you have enabled that option, he may not have set up any contacts in your direction. The same is the case with trying to find a deleted application. You are simply provided with a link to the Google Play Store instead of the app you’re using on your phone.

This was not the case with earlier Android 14 versions, so this seemed like a new error. The point is that Google will hopefully eliminate this before the next security patch starts rolling out in April. On the one hand, until Google promotes Pixel phones across all of its products, Pixel owners may find their searches more cluttered.
