Many Nest Camera owners got good news this week that Google has come to fix this problem. The Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) deals with the topic of continuing the old Nest camera line, including the popular Nest Hello doorbell. Google has confirmed. Users who dislike the hassle of taking care of each device separately will be very fortunate to operate the entire home system through a single application.
Since the company is changing the direction the Google Nest app is going, the decision comes now. Such as those indoor and outdoor models de Camera Nest, some of them have not yet been transferred to Google Home, while other models have had that chance. Among the accessibility barriers for users is a non-obvious interface that causes discomfort. Google highlights this theory and also expresses its intention to add Nest cameras shortly.
But this path is not easy nor as simple as pressing a button. Updating the software and firmware of these older devices launched more than a decade ago presents great technical challenges, including the types of upgrades and how to store and retrieve large amounts of useful information. Google assures users that those issues are the subject of ongoing work.
At the same time, as news among the members, it also indicates lagging behind the expected pace. This may only happen with some Nest Hello and other camera owners, who will need to stick with Nest and possibly other apps for a while before completely transferring their account.
