Google, a machinery of search engine along with artificial intelligence, will soon release a foldable phone – Pixel Fold. Despite being original, it is not completely new. The latest Android 15 software will be the thing to use immediately on Huawei’s P20. However, a deeper look reveals that the competition, especially Samsung, is the source of inspiration.
Professional Android fans have noticed that one of the most popular options of the system Android 15, which is not yet public, is to continue using apps on the Fold. The “Continue using apps on the Fold” feature is one of these options. This allows users to continuously switch between the main screen and the cover screen while turning the device.
Here’s how it works: Imagine yourself in a situation where sites appear on the display, set to open. Instead of suddenly closing when you fold the phone in half, the app deserves a clever little flickering screen. This means that you will remain online on your phone and continue using the application without any interruption.
However, its application to individual travelers is not entirely new. Phone maker OnePlus offers the same formula of foldable phones as the OnePlus Open. Google may be copying its competitors’ tactics (which looks like copying), but this may not be a flaw. A mix of great ideas within the community can be a source of better results and a more satisfying experience for users.
The new feature offers three options for customization: “Never” is the default setting and activates the primary cover screen automatically, “Swipe up to continue” allows manual override via swipe up, and “Always” for those of us who need a higher level of customized touch sensitivity.
The snippet could look like this: While the feature is still a work in progress, tech news website Android Police already has hands-on experience as they also have a video about the capability. With a lot of curiosity about what foldable phone interaction with the Pixel Fold would look like, this occasional glimpse that we just got of a simple foldable phone prototype is making us eagerly wait to see the final product in action.
