Google’s circle to Search lands on Pixel Fold, but with caveats

With the recent release of its exciting new CtS feature on other Pixel and Samsung handsets, Google is now making it available to the Pixel Fold, a foldable phone which we believe will become a very popular choice for many users. CtS provides a platform for a real application of Augmented Reality technology for searching in on-line libraries using phone cameras to discovering the things in the real world.

Pixel Fold’s very far and beyond efficient CtS is way better on the small cover screen. The initial question is specific and easy-to-understand and the app uses in-built features that the user can identify. Still, though the Fold’s huge inward-facing display seems convenient, it all has to type a lot to be comfortable to use. But, instead of the home screen being open, the navigation bar here is concealed so as no CtS can be activated. This also forced the search bar to tried to keep the whole width of the screen, thus, created an unwanted effect of the items spread.

When configured, CtS can be disabled from the setting window if you accidentally trigger it. There also it’s important to observe that the CtS hasn’t yet been included on Pixel Tablets albeit Google’s promise before. Ideally, this web wide release could have been combined with a March 2023 Feature Drop announce to Pixel 7 handsets.

Google is a innovator and a perfect example of that is new translation button they feature on smart phones at this time. This feature has a nice feature that allows translation of the original text, bringing some clarity to the data. Although it is not currently available on the Pixel Fold, it seems that this feature will eventually be made available.
