Get ready to take a major level up in the productivity suite provided by Google to help you manage your to-do lists regularly. Google is fresh with the announcement of syncing its two hugely successful apps that people use to write notes called Google Keep and Google Tasks. This is an announcement about aligning the note-taking app, Google Keep, with another app that people use to manage and organize their tasks, called Google Tasks.

A sync will automatically add notes created in Google Keep to Google Tasks. For example, a shopping list recorded in Google Keep will be moved to Google Tasks. This thus means that notes maintained in ‘Keep’ with time and location-based reminders will instantly appear in the ‘Tasks’ list, providing you with an advanced mechanism of not missing any important tasks.

However, one drawback that can be pointed out is that Keep will not allow you to ask to check in for reminders, which is a promising feature of Keep. In this case, you are using Google Tasks to remind you that an important action must be completed once you reach a specific location. However, currently, this will not work with Keep, and for this purpose, you will have to use Keep instead.

The inspiration behind this integration is Google’s desire to make Tasks a place where you can handle all your productivity tasks through Google’s Workspace platform like Keep, Gmail, Calendar, Chat, Docs, and even Google Assistant. Through this approach, Google intends to improve the ease of access to tasks and ultimately make the process of completion more organized and simple.

Although the full course of this integration is likely to take over the next year, Google assures that Tasks will maintain its momentum and remain accessible to users through other Workspace products. Therefore, users are guaranteed to smoothly transition to the new integrated management experience.
