As expected, Google Search is going to get a makeover during Liz Reed’s tenure as the new “head of search.” This coup reflects Google’s new emphasis on implementing AI when delivering its search experience.

Reed, who has spent three years as a researcher at Google, is the perfect candidate to provide product expertise and technical knowledge to the team. Their attention? Uniting search leadership and robots to push the boundaries of AI. This means that Google’s recent statements about other features like SGE (the “Search Labs” UX experiment) have shown the same success.

With SGE, search engines prove where they are headed in the future right now. Its AI algorithm assimilates the knowledge of search results and thus allows users to effectively cover even complex topics or explore their specialties in less time. Even when you have to work with only a few user feedbacks indicating a positive outlook, the system has already managed to run billions of queries within the experimental period.

Liz Reed’s enthusiasm on her LinkedIn profile “Don’t miss out guys, coming soon” fuels curiosity in prospects. AI is expected to become a key component in providing descriptive and user-friendly search services shortly and Google Search will evolve significantly suggesting a more informative search experience.
