Calling all chatters! Google Chat has just been updated, And this update allows for easier organization and better information management in your chats. Of course, after the release of voice messages on Spaces, the tech giant is currently working on the file administration feature, which is one of the settings for collaborative chat included in Spaces.

The build is introducing “Shared”, a new tab that overwrites the old “Files” tab. The point is not to have a new name, but rather a completely new approach to working with content. The platform’s “Shared” tab becomes a central hub, with plugins also available to easily navigate “Files”, “Links” and “Media”. This is because it allows you to instantly find the exact file, website link, or image you are looking for.

but that’s not all! In addition to its new features, Google Chat will also be upgraded to a fresh, new design during the I/O event. This redesign offers better visual design and makes everything clearer, so everything becomes easier. Searching for information will now become easier and faster, as a sort function has been added. Click sorting will allow you to sort shared contents by category (files/media/links) or date shared.

For the testing period, it will be gradually introduced with rapid-release domains starting from March 27. No one else will have to wait until the April 17th release to enjoy the new options. the best part? These additional features are available to all Playground Workspace subscribers, individual subscribers to Workplace, as well as individual Google Account holders.
