Have you ever had the feeling that your morning alarm never went off when you woke up in a panic? Well, maybe it’s a bug somewhere in Google Assistant. This bug only pertains to Android users, and in addition to denying you the opportunity to turn off your alarm, it can even go as far as deleting all of your alarms.
Think about the alarm going off repeatedly at all times of the day – to get you ready for work, for your workout, for medications – and so on. Instead of seeing the pronoun “that” as a bug, imagine the integration of a simple phrase like “Hey Google, turn off the alarm” and your entire dilemma might be solved. Frustrating, isn’t it?
The real relief is that you are not alone. It seems as if it has reached the international level and people of all languages are falling prey to it. Bad News? This means doing things the old-fashioned way, like creating all your meaningful alarms from the beginning.
Sadly, the seriousness of the problem is beginning to be understood on a popular scale. User reports will increase as such issues become more frequently reported, so Google is likely to release a fix for the issue soon. However, while doing so remember that voice commands are close to your life, and sooner or later they can be used for deliberate exploitation of your data and identity. Is it safe to turn off and manually activate “Apple Watch Auto Workouts” through the Clock app, at least some of the time?
Just found that all of my alarms were gone on my Pixel 8 Pro. Has anyone ever had this happen? I have no idea how they disappeared.
I had like 50 of them (1 active). pic.twitter.com/IvD1rHp1Ed
