The Notifications tab displays alerts generated by Google Search, including updates on weather conditions, flight statuses, sports scores, entertainment options, and even the word of the day. These notifications are organized into “Today” and “Earlier” sections, offering a clear and concise overview of timely information.
Users can interact with each notification to view the associated search term or manage their notification preferences through an overflow menu that provides options to delete, modify alert settings, or send feedback.
Despite the Google app’s delayed transition to the Material 3 design seen in other Google services, this update is a significant step towards improving functionality and user engagement.
