Calling music and podcast listeners who are multitasking champions! Spotify has just launched a game-changer for its Premium subscribers on Mac and Windows: WraparoundPlayer. These amazing features enable you to listen to your favorite songs and continue any conversations you are having with people even when you are in another window.

Imagine that you are concentrating on your work but suddenly your perfect song comes on the radio. You can skip tracks instantly, set the volume to the level you prefer, or choose repeats for the tracks that aim to please you the most – all in a small clean window that’s completely benign. This is a wonderful thing that adjusts to square, rectangular, or even a small strip shape as desired.

But wait, there’s more! Think beyond the music. The mini-player is also well-built for other types of media such as videos. Plus, it works great with podcasts, a feature that allows picture-in-picture mode if you’re listening to a video podcast, and gives you the option to control the size of the video. Transferring artists, songs or albums is very responsive, to the point where it doesn’t happen through anyone other than the main Spotify application.

Being a mini player, which is neatly placed in the bottom right corner of the app, it floats over other windows and, subsequently, interferes with daily operations on the computer. This is the convenient feature that sets it apart from other variations as it makes it even easier to open or close without disrupting your listening experience. Technically it’s a great app for today’s die-hard multitaskers who neither like their music and podcasts on their own nor want to be confused by juggling media windows.
