With the launch of the latest Galaxy S24 update version, the company is trying to fix the ongoing camera issue reported by phone users. Some users discover that the locking of the AE has resulted in photos with a darker impression than what they led to be expected when using the camera app’s AE (Automatic Exposure) lock at a certain zoom level.

AE lock-in photography assists photographers immensely as it ensures consistent exposure when dealing with challenging light situations. Even in this case, the prototypes have been stripped of the software that controls the zoom range (from 1.6x to 1.9x, and from 4.6x to 9.9x) and thus a software glitch causes the lock to malfunction, producing underexposed final pictures.

The good news is that the company has heard feedback from its customers and is already trying hard to sort the problem out by releasing a software fix. The Anticipated update period is April 2024, though also a potential possibility for a March update is part of it.

This isn’t the only camera upgrade of this phone as the Galaxy S24 series has another camera improvement. Having its release in February, there was a point that included the provision of a “vividness” slider that was essential for the display, and it also took care of some other camera problems. In the upcoming version, users will get the assurance to enjoy a more reliable and accurate camera experience, mostly when trying the AE lock feature.

To keep them up to date, Galaxy S24 users can see by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install for software updates.
