Go ahead, couple! TikTok, a newbie to the traditional dating scene, is developing a new “collaboration” feature to break into the scene. This update is another step forward in introducing collaboration with Instagram, allowing up to five people to be added to a single post.

This expands the scope of empowering the artist’s insight in a way that cannot be hindered by the current Duets feature, whereas the Duets feature has the restriction of only two participants. Dream up various group plays with brilliant comedic effects, collaboratively crafted tutorials, or a music video presented by creative TikTokers. The opportunity to take our audiences to a new level is limitless!

Here’s how it works: Just like Instagram Collabs, a person can include up to five other creators in the community in a post which is an added benefit. After collaborator approval, there is a username list that is not visible in the side margin with the original creator. Sharing posts through cross-accounts of all invited participants’ timelines increases audience visibility and engagement.

The opportunity this offer a new marketplace for creators and influencers cannot be overstated. This is where they can reach out beyond their existing fan base and renew acquaintances with other creators and influencers. The new update brings forth new ideas, thus, structuring engagement within the platform through teamwork and community building to err on the side.

While this feature is still under testing, an interesting detail has emerged: the original creator of either idea has all the rights to monetize the joint blog post as well as edit the output. This will create difficulties shortly on issues such as ownership and revenue sharing, but for now, the emphasis in this latest social platform is on strengthening the bond and willingness of professionals.
