Hit the spot – no more unknown numbers in your cell phone logs! This new development will revolutionize the lives of Pixel users who will now be able to easily access their Phone app thanks to the “Lookup” button. The following new function aims to make it easier to discover senders of unknown calls and similar creations through online search.
To make the use of its devices safer, Google has recently specialized in call security for Android. Functions like Call Screen and Hold for Me, managed by Google Assistant, show how much the new technology can improve calls. Our latest Phone app update has gone a step further, so to speak.
Beta testers of Pixel’s Phone app have noticed a new “Lookup” button appearing on recent call cards. Instead of the usual “Add Contact”, it displays various options, so that checking the number can be done faster and with less effort.
Tapping the search mode button labeled “Lookup” adds the caller’s phone number to the search phrase. The data itself provides clues from publicly available information about a phone number. Google does not have a specific line of the database in this regard, rather it simply uses available information about phone numbers. This means that the system will probably work very well to signal businesses rather than individual calls. It additionally serves as a post-interaction tool, akin to returning home after a game and reflecting on the experience.
The specific timing and intention of unveiling the “Lookup” button were not publicized. It may be added to a future release or it may remain in pre-development. However, with this new innovative and exciting feature introduced, Pixel users can be assured of greater control over their incoming calls.
