Oh, remember the iPhone Plus, big screen, of course, it survived for a few years! Presumably, this is where Apple is trying to change its strategy. Speaking of which, Apple revived its “Plus” line in 2022 with the larger-screen iPhone 14 Plus. However, rumors report that they may shrink the display size for the next iPhone, which will be the iPhone 17 Plus.

As a result, this will be after Apple announced an increase in screen size for the iPhone 16 Pro series. Such a development standard explains the possible improvement of the iPhone 17+, which could serve as a new medium between the 17/Pro size and the larger Pro Max.

Perhaps retailers are disappointed with the low sales of the 14 Plus. While opinion polls have cited larger screens and battery size as important criteria, it appears that consumers did not embrace Apple’s offering as enthusiastically as Steve Jobs had hoped. What Apple has planned could be much cheaper than its larger-screen alternatives, and the included stylus could be a way to offer a useful alternative to those who don’t crave the biggest phone around.

It is important to point out that this is still just a guess. However, Apple foresight analyst Ross Young claims that the display of the iPhone 17 Plus should be a cross between the standard and iPhone 17 Pro.

With the existing differences between the Plus and Pro Max models, we also have the possibility of adjustments to the main phablet features. Now, the Pro Max offers a more powerful chip, faster refresh rate, powerful camera functions, and higher RAM and storage variants.

With the launch of the iPhone 17 planned for September 2024 and the launch of the iPhone 17 scheduled for September 2025, we may soon get to know the rumored size reduction of other mobile devices.
