Key Points:
- Android 15 introduces a subtle yet effective “Notification Cooldown” feature, aimed at alleviating the onslaught of app notifications on smartphones.
- Despite initially hiding the feature, Google has reinstated it in the latest beta update, along with a new toggle called “Vibrate when unlocked” to further customize notification preferences.
- Users can now manage notification volume and vibration patterns more efficiently, balancing the need to stay informed with the desire for uninterrupted peace.
People of the current generation have smartphones that are now always with the users, and they receive notifications from different apps which are in large numbers. Although alerts are quite important for staying connected to the world, people usually find themselves drowning in them, which makes them worse, thus, causing daily disruption and unnecessary stress. Recognizing this dilemma, Android 15 offers a discreet but powerful solution: the “Notification Cooldown” function allows customers to process information through which they can develop strategies.
Which were not visible to the user at one time, but for deeper operating systems, the notification cooldown feature has surfaced in the latest beta update as a sign of improvements in user experience by Google. This aspect reduces the alert volume after reading from the same app multiple times, which is great as they don’t bother you with constant alerts.
Additionally, the reintroduced feature brings a new companion: this type of alert with the “Vibrate when unlocked” option. Unlocking the screen becomes the trigger for vibration, resulting in the screen remaining dark and not flashing at all when locked, thus avoiding distractions when not in use (Movement Mode).
Manufacturers set the switch to the “Vibrate when unlocking” option as the default setting, but it can be enabled very simply if users want to customize their phone to work according to their preferences. On one hand, most importantly, concerned users can only use selective cooldowns even in conversations, while another option would be conversation-based cooldowns.
Even though it seemed like it was lost instantly, the splash screen cooldown feature will get a new life in Android 15, and it will always be a cornerstone of the operating system, ensuring a comfortable balance between staying updated and keeping your mind at ease. Will do. Android notification prompts will become very sophisticated and personalized due to updates to Android as it integrates with multi-device keeping.
