Galaxy Phone: Google Messages RCS glitches plague some users

RCS advanced texting into something so incredible that it offers features far beyond read receipts and encryption. Still, for some Galaxy phone users, the RCS tap feels misguided.

According to media reports, this problem has been cited to be in their messaging software. Customers report that they don’t send, and it’s caused by RCS, but if they go to Google’s Messages app the problem goes away. Curiously people often receive chats in their bubble containing an RCS message reverting to the plain old SMS standard when the friend is using a Galaxy-branded smartphone.

As of the time of writing this article, there is no clarification available from both Google and Samsung on this topic. Keeping in mind that the problem can be fixed by resetting the app data, this is still a short-term solution.

This interferes with smooth typing, especially for those who use them (texting apps) frequently. Let’s hope that a solution to this RCS dilemma comes soon and allows us to play the game of sleep and wakefulness.
