Key Points:

  • Google Contacts is being redesigned to enhance the user experience of saving contact information.
  • The beta version 4.30.50.628193927 introduces a new UI focusing on essential fields like first name, last name, company, and phone number.
  • The redesign aims to streamline the contact addition process by simplifying the interface and incorporating pill-shaped buttons for supplementary information.

From now on, one of the essential developments in Android devices is the renewal of Google Contacts, which is done to create a more user-friendly interface. To go against the endless quibbles about smartphone hardware, Google is revising how the Contacts app works much simpler.

The latest preview 4.30.50.628193927, labeled by Google, introduces a brand new look to prompt people to do certain things themselves, such as adding new contacts. The reform addresses the core set of information entitled Basic Profile, which includes first name, last name, company or phone number. Furthermore, News Jewelry allows the user to easily add more details like mail addresses, dates of importance, and addresses through the availability of eye-shaped buttons.

The redesigned interface, in particular, is clean and user-friendly as it places the field ‘Add’ button on the bottom sheet and justifies it below the earlier fields. A prominent star option has also been placed next to the Save button so that users can select the contact as their favorite without having to search through the normal menu.

But right now, the beta version of the app can only be accessed by sideloading it from an app called APKMirror. However, these changes show that the app could become more intuitive to use in the future. Barring the implementation of the changes that many Android fans have been waiting for, it’s quite clear that Google emphasizes polishing the elements that are central to user interactions rather than just coming up with gimmicky updates.
