AI became Google’s Pixel 8 selling point. Some features’ local data usage was, unfortunately, hosted on the cloud. While the Pixel 9 is rumored to have some powerful AI specifications, it has also been suggested that some code seems to have been leaked that reveals even more on-device updates.
Picture yourself saying a few words and get a picture of the image from the phone. The Pixel 9 will be no different, allowing users to create their own AI images on the device. Nowadays AI wallpaper scenarios with simple backgrounds look obsolete, so, stimulate your imagination and create unique artworks with text-based image creation.
However, many awards don’t just involve glittering bells and whistles. The Google Pixel 9 will have its own AI built into the handset and it will sometimes be able to tackle complex queries even without the internet. In other words, such short communications means that devices can access the network almost instantly, and do not need to constantly fully charge their batteries when they are in range.
Smart text processing is what you will find next. Machine learning AI will be used not only to enhance character recognition but also to improve understanding when interpreting incoming messages. Just imagine, all those time-consuming answers that populate the auto-suggest box are fine and useful! And suddenly, the paper you’re in is given a PDF summary in bullet-point size!
Whether Google will provide these upgrades in the future will be of interest to all Pixel owners. It is still a mystery. It’s too early to tell what the next Pixel will look like. We can only hope that the new device will be introduced during the Google I/O event in May and possibly in October when the Pixel 9 launches. One thing is for sure, Artificial Intelligence on smartphones is getting brighter and brighter and it appears that Google’s Pixel 9 is ready to start a speedy revolution.
