Be careful, Android users! Google Play is introducing a security upgrade that provides stronger security measures for apps, games, and in-app purchases. In no time, you won’t need to remember passwords for any occasion, instead, you’ll be able to instantly identify your purchases using your fingerprint or face scan.
The current step involves “Biometric Verification” which requires you to enter your Google password to keep everything secure. Although now you need to click on the microphone button and make your search request, the upcoming update will do this on your behalf thus making things faster and more simple.
This goal is intended to promote the use of purchase verification, which provides an additional layer of security by requiring the customer to contact the cardholder for each transaction. Through its recent update, Google promises that it is you, and only you, who should have the superpower of making in-app purchases!
Google will not only simplify the setup process but will also promote it in various ways like taking it global and showing more options. You’ll have the option to choose how often verification is required: never, always, or not (even if the latter is completely impractical, in terms of complete security, is always best!).
Just a warning: Google warns that it is not recommended to store clicks or face scans by children or older people as they could be used to purchase items. In the meantime, you should avoid sharing your password with anyone at all times, at all costs!
To this extent, this update is expected in two weeks from now, and easy purchases on Google Play will not become a problem.
