The Tesla Cybertruck, at least currently, offers a remarkable back that will enable charging speeds of up to 250 kW and adjustable charging of 219 km in 15 minutes. But Tesla is not compromising. The upcoming update will change the charge output curve, enabling the pickup to cover a whopping 248 km of range in just a 15-minute window! Of course, regardless of the specific Cybertruck you choose, it’s going to add up significantly.
It’s like having better gear that completely changes the game mechanic. Now, the new Cybertruck will not be difficult to recharge at a steady speed throughout the process, which is a big advantage for those who usually travel with non-rechargeable batteries. This new update addresses a bug we recently reported that caused slowdowns when a vehicle was charging from nearly empty.
These developments reveal Tesla’s high ambitions to always innovate its products and services. Although the Cybertruck’s unveiling generated considerable interest, some critics noted that it could not match the charging speeds of the Rivian R1T or the Ford F-150 Lightning, which are considered its competitors. Tesla is listening.
