Typing hello on my phone! It can take a little nap faster now! Gboard, Google’s flagship app for Android phones, has a “quality bug report specifier” as an added feature. This immediately sets up a good process so that Google can be notified whenever you encounter any trouble while using Gboard.

Previously, many software developers had to go through multiple menus to report a bug. Now it’s just a snap – your 1 or 2 taps or it could even be 1 click if I save as a favorite on my toolbar! The addition of the brand-new shortcut gives users access to Google’s default bug reporting tools, enabling users to provide useful feedback with minimal effort.

“Bug Report” is also our education framework and requires almost no adjustments. However, a helpful “Quality Bug Report: Abuse Detection Tag” is automatically added to the text field, so Gboard can find and resolve these issues up to 20 times faster. This simplified operation is intentional. To reduce the burden of bugs and improve overall Gboard performance.

Currently, this refresh is available in GBoard beta (version 13.9.13.x) for Pixelab devices. Although the voice toolbar is still a feature reserved for tablets, this new shortcut where one can give feedback about these keyboard glitches is a well-appreciated feature for all Gboard users on Android-based devices. By making it easier for people to report any issues, Google will be able to continue working towards Gboard’s desired position in the mobile keyboard community.
