Given the rumors of a hardware refresh, the Z-Flip could be important for Samsung to introduce a new component in this phone. It is said that the name of the new chip may be changed from the usual Qualcomm Snapdragon, which then indicates that the upcoming Z Flip 6 may reportedly have a home-branded Exynos processor variant i.e. Exynos 2400. This is speculation from a so-called – Revgenous – insider, which hints at whether or not Samsung will maintain the tradition of making all of its foldable phones with Snapdragon.

Such introduction of Qualcomm-made Snapdragon processors is in line with Samsung’s recent strategy of introducing both Snapdragon and Exynos chipsets in different markets. The move to do the same for the entire flagship collection, such as foldables and Exynos, could be an indication of how powerful the chip is and could pit the company against rivals.

And so despite this renaissance of fashion and art, it is still uncertain whether this will be a one-off revival or become a permanent trend for the Z Flip 6. Another question mark remains: will the larger Galaxy Z Fold 6 be on an Exynos chip or will it stick with Snapdragon? It’s Samsung’s ultimate fate to just hope that the company makes a great dent in the foldable phone CPU.
